Ann Dismorr
Ambassador in Residence, Senior Advisor to the Turkey Initiative at Uppsala University

Ambassador Dismorr is currently serving as Head of the International Department of the Swedish Parliament. She has served as a diplomat with the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs for over 25 years. She was Swedens Ambassador to Turkey from 2001-2005. She has extensive knowledge of the region having also lived in Saudi Arabia, worked on the Middle East peace process, and served as Swedens Ambassador to Lebanon and Azerbaijan.
In addition to this she was the Private Secretary of the Swedish Foreign Minister af Ugglas in the early 1990's when Sweden was in the final stages of its EU accession process. Between 1995-1999 Ambassador Dismorr was the human rights expert at the Swedish mission to the United Nations in Geneva.
She has an academic background in political science from Stockholm University, Gothenburg University and Yale University.
