Prof. Arthur Shuhfan
Ding
is a fellow of the Institute of International
Relation (IIR) at National Chengchi University,
Taiwan, where he has also been Director
of China Politics Division under IIR. He
has extensive research experience from numerous
US institutes. and is a member of numerous
editorial boards. His current field of study
is the PRC's national defence and military
affairs; and Asia-Pacific security.

Ann Dismorr
is head of the international department of the Swedish Parliament. She is a former Swedish Ambassador to Turkey, and serves as senior advisor to the Turkey Initiative.

Dr. Han Hua
is an Associate Professor at the School of International Studies (SIS), Peking University. She also heads a project on Arms Control and Disarmament, a second university-based arms control studies in China. Further, she has been involved in second-track dialogues relating to a number of subjects of concern. Her research interests rest on security-related issues, such as international arms control and non-proliferation, and China's security strategy on its periphery, including Asia-Pacific and South Asia. She has published in various academic journals and newspapers both in China and abroad.

Kyudok Hong
is a professor and teacher at the Sookmyung Women's University, Department of Political Science and International Relations, Seoul, Korea. Prof. Hong's research areas include: multilateral security cooperation, U.S.-R.O.K. relations, R.O.K.-Vietnam relations. Professor Hong also specializes in arms control with a particular interest in arms trade, conversion and chemical weapon conversion. He is also an expert on preventive diplomacy, peace negotiations, United Nations studies and international organizations.

Studies at Johns Hopkins University in Washington
DC. He is former assistant to the vice president
for National Security Affairs; former special
assistant to the president and senior director
for Asia, National Security Council, and
former deputy assistant secretary of Defense
for East Asia and Pacific affairs. He hold
a ; Ph.D., political science, Massachusetts
Institute of Technology.
Prof. Hiroshi Kimura
Professor Kimura a professor of Political Science and teacher Institute of World Studies , Takushoku University, Tokyo, Japan. Professor Kimura research focus on Russian politics, with particular emphasis on Russo-Japanese Relations. Throughout his professional career, Professor Kimura has been Special Research Follow at the Japanese Embassy in Vienna and Moscow. He was also a Fulbright Exchange scholar at the Institute for Sino-Soviet Studies, Washington University and a Visiting Research Follow and Scholar at the Arms Control and Disarmament Program at Stanford University and at the Harriman Institute for Russian Studies at Columbia University. Professor Kimura has is also member of “The Comprehensive National Security Group” and author of the final report of the groups.
Dr. Chyungly Lee
received her Ph.D. from the Department of Government and Politics, University of Maryland in 1995 and then joined in the Institute of International Relations, National Chengchi University. She is an active participant in the Council for Security Cooperation in Asia Pacific (CSCAP) and has been coordinating Taiwan’s participation in CSCAP-related activities since May 2000. Dr. Lee has been a primary co-organizer of many international conferences and co-initiator of several international projects. Currently, she has collaboration with ASEAN Institutes of Strategic and International Studies (ASEAN-ISIS), South African Institute of International Affairs, Centre for Defence and International Security Studies in the UK, and the Institute of Security and Development Studies, the Philippines.
Prof. Kyongsoo Lho
is Executive Director of the Korean Institute
of International Studies (KIIS) and Dean
for International Affairs, Office of International
Affairs at Seoul National University. He
has extensive experience from both the research
and the policy area, and he is affiliated
with a large number of professional societies
and a member of numerous advisory committees
in Korea and elsewhere. He has written numerous
books and articles on Korea and international
studies.
Prof. Song Xinning
is Jean Monnet Professor of European Political Integration and the Associate Dean of the School of International Studies, Renmin University of China. He is also the Director of the National Research Centre for European Studies, Renmin University of China. He is the member of numerous editorial boards and comitees. He has also received Honorary Professorships at the University of Durham, UK, PLA Academy of International Relations and China University of Political Science and Law. Prof. Song has a extensive international experience. He has been a Research Scholar at London School of Economics and Political Science, a Visiting Professor at University of Kent at Canterbury, the University of Durham, and the Free University Brussels (VUB).
Prof. Su Hao
is Deputy Director for the Center for International
Studies at the Foreign Affairs University
of China, Beijing. He is also affiliated
with some other institutions in China, such
as, member of Chinese Committee, Council
of Security Cooperation in the Asia-Pacific;
board members of China Association of Armscontrol
and Disarmament, China Association of Asia-Pacific
Studies, China Association of Asian-African
Exchange. He is researching China's Foreign
Policy, Strategy and International Security,
and International Relations in the Asia-Pacific
Region. He has extensive international experience,
including advanced study in SOAS, University
of London, and two Fulbright Scholarships
to Columbia University and the University
of California at Berkley, USA. His publications
relate to the fields of China's foreign
policy, international security, regional
integration in the Asia-Pacific.

Dr. Zha Daojioing
is Associate Professor at Renmin University. He is the Director for the Center for International Energy Security and the Department of International Political Economy at Renmin University. Prof. Zha is an expert on International Energy Security and International Political Economy. He has extensive experience of international research environments and has been a fellow at among others the International University of Japan, the University of Macao, and the Ford School of Public Policy, University of Michigan. He is also a member of several organizations such as the International Studies Association, (USA), the Japan Association for International Studies (Japan) and the Korean Association for International Studies (Korea).

Dr. Zhang Li
is research professor of international relations at the Institute of
South Asian Studies, Sichuan University (China). He is an experienced scholar of South Asian security and strategic analysis. His areas of research and teaching include China-South Asia strategic nexuses, China’s post-Cold War neighborhood diplomacy, and Asia-Pacific security and crisis management, with dozens of publications to his credit.

Zhang Tiejun
is Deputy Director of the Department of European Studies at Shanghai Institute for International Relations. He received his PhD at the Department of Peace and Development Research at Gothenburg University, Sweden with a PhD Dissertation entitled “Reconstructing the Great Wall: China’s Security Strategy in the Early 21 st Century”. His areas of expertise include East Asian regionalization, Sino-US strategic relations, and Chinese foreign policies.

Dr. Sangsoo LEE (23 February - 10 May 2007, Uppsala)
Dr. Sangsoo LEE graduated from Peking University in 2006 where He holds a Ph.D. of the Northeast Asian Studies. His Ph.D. thesis dealt with China, Japan and Korea’s Energy Policy Comparative Studies and was entitled: “ A Study on Oil Crises and China, Japan, and Korea’s Energy Measures ”. His areas of interest are focused on East Asian Regional Cooperation and Conflict Prevention in Northeast Asia.
He also is a Visiting Researcher at the Northeast-Asia Institute of Peking University and worked at the Council on East Asian Community Department of Japan Forum On International Relations, INC in 2005 and the Comparative Regional Integration Studies Program of the United Nation University (UNU-CRIS) in 2006. He is fluent in Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and advanced level in English and has good knowledge in Italian .
