TURKEY INITIATIVE

Activities

A main component of the Initiative is outreach activities, based on openness to interaction and cooperation with other actors in public life. This implies firstly the conduct of conferences and seminars; secondly, an ambition to disseminate the results of the Initiative’s research; and thirdly, an ambition to maintain an openness to requests for information and analysis by the public and the media through, among other, internet presence.

The Turkey Initiative held its first international conference Turkey in Europe: Changes and Challenges, in May 2006 in cooperation with the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

In the Spring of 2007 the Initiative organises a Turkey Forum Lecture Series in Stockholm in cooperation with the Swedish National Defence College.
