Cooperation and partnership, both formal and informal, is central to the Program for Contemporary Silk Road Studies and its research. At present, cooperation is ongoing with a large number of research institutes both in the Silk Road region and elsewhere. These cooperations are under continuous development and expansion.
Currently the Program is in the formalization phase where more informal cooperation and partnerships are formalized, and hence the cooperations presented here will be considerably expanded as the formalization process continues.

The institute sponsors numerous international conferences each year and host bilateral roundtable conferences with both China and Russia several times a year in conjunction with many other foreign institutes.
