Biographic Note on Aleksandr Dugin:
Aleksandr Dugin is a leading exponent
of the "Eurasianist" approach
to =
Russian foreign policy. Mr. Dugin has published
more than a dozen books =
on a wide range of political and cultural
subjects and has written for =
several major Russian newspapers. For five
years he served as a foreign-af=
fairs advisor to the speaker of the Duma.
He has close relations with the =
Russian security establishment, and his
writings have been used in the =
training of senior Russian military officers.
His presentation should =
provide a timely account of Eurasianist
thinking about Russia's geopolitica=
l options following the political upheavals
in Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and =
Kyrgyzstan.
