Dr. Pavel K. Baev, a Senior Researcher at the International Peace research Institute, Oslo (PRIO), Norway, has written extensively on Russian peacekeeping, Russian military affairs and Russian security issues. [bio]
Major Gen. (Ret.) Karlis Neretnieks is a Senior Researcher at the Silk Road Studies Program and the Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI) and was earlier the Rector of the Swedish National Defence College (FHS). Mg Neretnieks is a fellow of the Royal Academy of War Sciences. [bio]
Associate Professor He Yin of China Peacekeeping CIVPOL Training Center at the Armed Police Academy in Langfang is currently a Visiting Researcher at the Silk Road Studies Program and is preparing a publication on Chinese peacekeeping. [bio]
Dr. Joris Van Bladel is a military sociologist who is, inter alia, studying the impact of peacekeeping missions on the military organization in Europe and Russia. Dr. Van Bladel is now Visiting Researcher at the Silk Road Studies Program. [bio]
Dr. Carola Weil is a Program Officer at the United States Institute for Peace in Washington DC. Dr. Weil’s research addresses the evolution of international protection norms and the use of armed force in complex humanitarian emergencies. [bio]
