The Azerbaijanis are one of the many people of the Caucasus whose political and ethnic territorial boundaries do not coincide. This Forum begins to assess the current condition, status and future prospects of Azeris within the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Dr. Ansari has long volunteered in both medical and cultural spheres for Azerbaijan. CDT Panahov is the first Azerbaijani to attend the the U.S. Military Academyc at West Point.

The Forum is preceded by a reception and refreshments at 5 p.m. The program itself will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. and conclude at 7:00 p.m.

The Central Asia-Caucasus Institute is a primary institution in the United States for the study of the Caucasus, Central Asia and the Caspian Region.
