A New Foundation for Afghanistan”

How can the U.S. and other interested countries continue to support the building of Afghan society, institutions, and culture over the long term? This question has preoccupied friends of Afghanistan worldwide since 9/11. Such concern has focused particularly on the question of how to engage private sector donors and on how to support emerging leaders, initiatives, and institutions within Afghanistan itself.

This Forum is the first public presentation of the newly-founded Foundation for Afghanistan.  Ambassador Said Jawad, joined by several board members of the new Foundation, both Afghans and Americans, will lead the discussion.

The Forum opens with a reception and refreshments at 5 PM. The program will begin promptly at 5:30 PM and conclude at 7 PM. RSVP for this event is mandatory and will not be accepted after 10 AM on the day of the event. To register, please send an email with your name and affiliation to SAISCACIForums@jhu.edu or call 202-663-7723.
