How does the U.S. perceive its strategic interests in Azerbaijan? Does the U.S. government's analysis adequately reflect the country's real interests there?  How are these interests changing and how effectively has the U.S. pursued them?

These and related questions will be the focus of this Forum by CACI’s Visiting Fulbright Scholar, Dr. Aliyev of Azerbaijan, who recently finished an in-depth study of the above questions, and by Dr.  Blank, a Senior Fellow for Russia at the American Foreign Policy Council whose recent Silk Road Paper (Dec. 2013is titled “Azerbaijan’s Security and U.S. Interests: Time for a Reassessment”.
